• Designated Villain: Despite no member of the main cast being anywhere near "good", Lok in Triad Election is treated with this by proxy of him wanting to get re-elected. While re-election In-Universe is considered taboo by the Wo Shing society, there's no guarantee that Lok's re-election would make the society worse, yet his ambition to succeed paints him squarely as the most villainous of all the characters. Justified after Lok deliberately kills Uncle Teng for lambasting him for re-election.
