• Ensemble Dark Horse: Action Fighter is likely the film's most beloved character. Along with being played by Jemaine Clement, he receives a substantial chunk of the most quotable lines.
• Fountain of Memes: Action Fighter, though other characters such as Asian Sidekick also have large swathes of memorable dialogue.
• Narm Charm: An entire movie filled with very deliberate amounts of this.
• Retroactive Recognition: Features Jemaine Clement and choreography by Brett Mackenzie a good few years before Flight of the Conchords really started to gain notoriety. Taika Waititi appears in some bit parts as well, most visible during Chef Guy's musical number.
• Signature Scene: Sione's final battle with Action Fighter.
