  • Demonic Spiders:
    • The Magic Doll enemies. They move all over the place very quickly, making it very difficult to get a hit in, only stopping to fire a tracking projectile. Annoying by itself, but absolutely soul crushing when joined by two or three. Even more so if you're facing the Notorious versions.
    • Voodoo Doll enemies. Though more stationary, they too fire homing projectiles, a barrage of them in fact, that remain on the field for a long time unless you run completely out of their range. Getting in close can be difficult too because of their buzzsaw attack. Later versions will have a Area of Effect field that decreases hammer damage, the only recurring blunt damage weapon type which the dolls are weak to, making it even more difficult to kill. It only gets worse when dealing with Notorious versions of them.
  • The Scrappy: Amalie. Many find her lack of development throughout the game frustrating, and the constant focus on her misadventures (much of which involves carrying the Idiot Ball) means that a lot of the more interesting characters don't get the proper time to develop.
  • That One Boss: Shakti, which takes almost no damage until it is attacking, tracks your movement with said attacks, is fully capable of killing the Hundred Knight in one or two hits, and can heal away what little damage you do with its own attacks should you survive a hit.
