• Hilarious in Hindsight: The fanfic series has all of the characters from The Smurfs discovering and meeting an entire village of female Smurfs. Thirteen years after the first story was published on fanfiction.net, the entire plot to Sony Pictures' Smurfs: The Lost Village has Smurfette, Hefty, Brainy and Clumsy discovering a hidden village of female Smurfs in the Forbidden Forest. The same female Smurfs even reappeared in the comic books and 2021 series.
• Moral Event Horizon: Gargamel in "How Things Smurf" may have crossed the line definitely when he unleashed "The Blue Plague" on all the Smurfs except for those that managed to escape that fate. Not that Gargamel hasn't been pushed to that point before in the cartoon show that the fanfiction series is set in, but this is the only time that his plan to destroy the Smurfs has succeeded without any way to reverse it.
