- Harsher in Hindsight:
- In the first episode, Trump's admittance that he's "in way over his head" is acknowledgement that he's not fully prepared for the responsibilities of being President. In the season one finale, him saying that he's "in way over his head" is literal, as he's drowning after driving away from those responsibilities.
- There is a skit where Trump puts on a lab coat and complains about an outbreak of people believing he colluded with Russia. Forward a few years later, the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, affecting millions around the world including Trump himself.
- Memetic Mutation: "Donny Goes to School"
's ending, where Pence drags a bawling Trump out of the classroom, has resurfaced, with people comparing it to Trump's reaction to losing the 2020 presidential election.
