  • A "thirteen button salute" is actual Navy slang for "getting caught with your pants down" or someone coming up and yanking your pants off^note the trousers of US Navy cracker jacks are fastened by thirteen buttons.
• Jerkass Woobie: Just an episode after Klyden caused the personal ruination of a Moclan scientist due to his own bigotry, seeing him fearing for his son's life as they're being captured by Kaylon soldiers seizing control of the Orville is poignant.
