  • One of the Ogre's few kind acts was the day he met the family where he found Gwinny when she was lost, drove her to the library, took her for ice cream then drove her home. He'd be Mistaken for Pedophile these days.
  • He also hits Johnny and Malcolm as punishment for supposed bad behaviour, which the children are all disturbed by. It's happened before, too. However there's no real reckoning for the Ogre; it was considered acceptable to smack children at the time of writing. (It's now illegal in parts of the UK.)
