- Contested Sequel: The band's mixtape #000000 & #FFFFFF. A good mixtape with some new hip-hop styles on it, or a really bad one that doesn't work with the band's sound.
- Fandom Rivalry: The band shares many fans with blackbear and Twenty One Pilots.
- LGBT Fanbase: Not exactly the band itself but "Sweather Weather" has become THE "bisexual anthem" (possibly jokingly) for the internet. Go into the comment section of any video for the song, and you will immediately find half of them consisting of self-proclaimed bisexuals.
- Nightmare Fuel: "Female Robbery" is insanely creepy.

- "Everybody's Watching Me (Uh-Oh)" and "Staying Up" too, with all the eeriness of Being Watched and the whatever it is that the singer is afraid of that's outside in "Staying Up".
