- Misaimed Fandom: Gug and the Warcats enjoyed a massive fan following in 1990's and 2000's Russia, probably due to being legitimately badass anti-heroes. The Warcat song, only briefly mentioned in the story, had its lyrics written by fans and performed by a few bands.
- What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: A morally grey story with a warlike anti-hero, graphic violence and deconstruction of future utopia ideals? It was originally adapted for school audience, somewhat censored, and the original version was published only in 2003.
