YMMV / The Interns

Go To

  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Maxim Averin, who appeared As Himself in one of the episodes to watch Bykov in action to learn doctor's behaviour, became the star of a popular medical drama in real life.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • It's common to insert Semyon's "I don't care!" montage from the second episode whenever it's needed to point that someone doesn't take their duties seriously.
    • "Your plan is crap. I don't want to participate in it. It disgusts me."Explanation
    • The still shot of Lobanov jumping at other character (taken from a first season's episode), with his fist being about to hit the camera, became the popular reaction to something users heavily dislike (so, just like Semyon, they want to punch it).
    • The scene of Gleb Romanenko and Semyon Lobanov laughing like morons over something they consider to be funny, shortly followed by angry Bykov screaming at them, became a popular template for memes about angry boss confronting his subordinates who're fooling around.
    • Kupitman is the best Joker! Explanation
  • Romantic Plot Tumor: While romantic plots were always present, the last two seasons shifts almost completely from medicine-centred comedy into relationship-centred tragicomedy, with basically all ongoing plots being related to that topic in one way or another. It's one of the reasons why they are generally far less liked than the earlier ones.
  • Seasonal Rot: While fans are varying in opinions when exactly the decline in quality has started, it's generally agreed that episodes about the second team of interns (seasons 10–14) are inferior to the earlier ones, especially the last two seasons.
