• Awesome Music: The song "I'm Not Coming in Anymore" was well-received and held as both a summer and nostalgic anthem thanks to its fun 2000s rock vibes.
• Bizarro Episode: As out there as the original Ed, Edd n Eddy could be, actual science-fiction shrinking is not something that could happen outside of the cast's overactive imaginations, never mind a number of other elements with the short.
• Broken Base: The overall reception to the short is this from the greater Ed, Edd n Eddy fandom due to how off it is from canon. Is it a great video in spite of it being based on the Ed's adventures In Name Only, bad because it's so different, or a serviceable short that should be viewed in its own vacuum?
• Vindicated by History: As can be seen in this comment section. Over a decade since this short has aired, quite a few fans of the show and fans of the Cartoon Cartoon era hold it as a fun trip down memory lane, with the song and content evoking a feeling of nostalgia amongst grown up watchers.
