- Awesome Music:
- The film's rather generic Rock N Roll theme is still a well-done piece of The '80s cheese.
- The "Passions Storm" piece is also a parody of Romance Novels, but is still a nice piano piece in its own right.
- Cult Classic: The film was not warmly received in its time, but its cheesy effects and cartoonish humor have developed a following over the years.
- One-Scene Wonder: John Carradine as the Templar leader.
- Retroactive Recognition: Ron Perlman and Anjelica Huston were still quite young in their careers.
- Special Effects Failure: Wendon's neck and body can be seen in a few shots after he's decapitated and his head is being carried around.
- Took the Bad Film Seriously: Anjelica Huston seems to be the only main actor not hamming it up or mugging for the camera and seems to really get into her role as the badass Action Girl. John Carradine also might not have realized what kind of movie he was in.
