YMMV / The Good Place S3E08 "Don't Let the Good Life Pass You By"

• Continuity Lockout: The main plot revolves around Doug Forcett, a character who was mentioned once, in passing, in the very first episode. There's little explanation here for newer viewers, so if you've forgotten who Doug is, this episode is going to have you completely baffled.
• Moment of Awesome: Janet really gets a chance to shine in this episode, taking down the entire demon army almost effortlessly before she gets her powers back, but also shows that with her powers, she is able to overpower Shawn, who is the devil himself!^note Or the next best thing, anyway.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Vicky, who, out of all the demons, is the one outside of Shawn to have the biggest grudge against Michael. Yet, rather than play this up, she's just a Living Prop like the others sans Shawn.
• The Woobie: This episode reveals Doug Forcett as one. The poor man randomly figured out the truth about the afterlife during a drug trip and became aware of the ridiculous standards of the points system. As a result, he's become terrified of doing anything that could jeopardize his chances of getting into the Good Place, turning into a complete and total Extreme Doormat who is so dedicated to living a morally perfect existence to the detriment of his own well-being that he's left himself utterly miserable in the process.
