- He Really Can Act: Sam Worthington shows a ton more personality in this film than any of his other American roles (he comes from a dramatic background in Australia, and mostly does action movies in the US).
- Questionable Casting: In the American version, 1997 David looks like an older version of 1965 Stephan, and vice-versa. This can be confusing if you aren't paying attention. Seen in the trailer
