• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Let's see, Donald Duck pulls out a fife and plays it...and a tornado subsequently appears. Gee, does this sound familiar to you?
  • Donald plays Turkey in the Straw, which Mickey played in Steamboat Willie. The final notes he plays sound familiar, don’t they?
• Older Than They Think: While this is officially considered Mickey's first color appearance, he DID make a (very brief) appearance three years earlier in the obscure short "Parade of the Award Nominees." — and had green pants.
• Signature Scene: The band playing in the tornado.
