- Adaptation Displacement: The animated film is better known than the manga it is adapted from.
- Awesome Music: Asian Kung Fu Generation (the ending song "Town In Blue") and Plaid? Hell yes!
- Tear Jerker:
- White being stabbed by the Aliens and the police taking him into custody after he gets better could both qualify.
- The scenes of Black's nervous breakdown and Suzuki's death are pretty heartrending.
- Ugly Cute: White, who is probably supposed to look normal, but the animation doesn't help.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: White for some people, at least until the bath house scene.
