• Hilarious in Hindsight: Vampires in Alaska? And the sun doesn't rise for another 3 months?
• Magnificent Bitch: Corporal Jeri Drumbeater lives a solitary life in Alaska when Colonel Parker and his right-hand Burrows show up, desiring her help for illegal poaching. When she learns Parker unknowingly shelled her unit in Desert Storm, Jeri lures the two into the local nest of vampires who serve her, her own poisonous blood inedible to them. Jeri attempts to turn Burrows against Parker, while also withholding the vital fact that the sun the far north in Alaska will not rise for another two months just in case one believes he has escaped.
• Les Yay: The lesbian subplot between Jeri and the bartender Mona.
• Nightmare Fuel: As soon as Parker and Burrows step into an old building, things go to hell for them pretty quickly as it's infested with vampires.
  • The eerie screeches and growling noises the vampires make.
  • Being trapped in a cold, isolated environment in the dark with little to defend yourself with doesn't help either.
  • The little girl Parker and Burrows encounter. Goes from cute and innocent to completely nightmarish with her eyes black and her mouthful of fangs. Parker lampshades this as something doesn't feel right.
  • Jeri's personal vendetta against the former solders/poachers for being the direct cause of her wounds and zombification. Imagine waiting that long to get revenge against someone and actually succeeding.
  • The vampires slowly arising out of their grotesque flesh covered cocoons.
  • The feral hungry vampires inside the isolated building look monstrously grotesque compared to the human vampires and zombies.
  • Parker finds a lit cigar burning as he's along in a room. Realizing that he isn't alone, looks around for the intruder only for someone to spring from the ceiling and attack him.
  • Mona the bartender's Nightmare Face in a close-up shot as she attempts to kill Parker. Her mouthful of More Teeth than the Osmond Family rotten vampire chompers. Being a Yandere and a vampire is a deadly combo.
  • The vampires devouring Parker and Burrows at the end.
• Squick: Mona the bartender's mouthful of brown, rotten teeth.
