• Anti-Climax: His 2nd IWGP run. Despite having awesome matches he only got to defend his title ONCE against long time rival Hiromu Takahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 15, where Hiromu Takahashi dethroned him.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: In NJPW, due to him being a More Popular Replacement of the previous Bone Soldier not to mention his ripped body and his incredible wrestling skills. It didn't take a long time for him to gain popularity that rivals both Will Ospreay and Hiromu Takahashi.
• Evil Is Cool: A highly skilled athlete with a body akin that of the Terminator and a dark villainous charisma, not to mention joining one of the most heelish yet also the most famous heel group in all pro wrestling.
• Moment of Awesome:
  • His in ring debut in NJPW, where he ambushed Will Ospreay and was revealed to be the new addition to the Bullet Club as the Bone Soldier. He follows it up by beating Ospreay later on, not to mention having a great showing at the BOSJ tournament.
  • Basically whenever he and Hiromu Takahashi shared a ring together, with their match at the BOSJ 25 Finals being considered as the best match the two had ever had, it was even given 5.5 stars by Meltzer.
  • Defeating Hirooki Goto, a heavyweight mind you, in a one on one bout. This is one of the very rare occasions where a junior defeats a heavyweight in NJPW.
• More Popular Replacement: He's generally seen as the far superior Bone Soldier compared to his predecessor. Where Mitsuhide Hirasawa was a failed jobber mascot who'd lost all the charm of his previous run as Captain New Japan and turned the very name of Bullet Club's iconic T-shirt template into a complete joke, Ishimori is a highly skilled athlete and champion with a delinquent face, washboard abs, and unrelenting tenacity. In fact, considering the amount of mockery the idea of Bone Soldier received thanks to Hirasawa's run and how all that immediately stopped once Ishimori donned his mask, an easy argument can be made that the Bone Soldier tagline was Rescued from the Scrappy Heap by Taiji Ishimori.
• Narm Charm: His entrance, which is him swaggering through the crowd with an Unflinching Walk. Does it look awkward when you remember that he is as tall as Rey Mysterio?? Yes, sometimes. Does it make him look badass and intimidating with a body akin to the Terminator himself?? ABSOLUTELY.
