• Ensemble Dark Horse: Alicia and Max Banes, twin Brother–Sister Team hunters who were raised by their good witch mother and are knowledgeable in the arcane. More importantly, they're incredibly laidback and friendly when their guard's down around other hunters, calm and composed in a fight, and get Elvis to back off when he makes Sam uncomfortable with his question. They were popularly received online and fans on Tumblr even wanted them to get their own spin-off after just one scene. Luckily, they survived the episode, leaving the door open for another appearance — although considering Supernatural's track record with recurring characters and especially allies of the Winchesters, they might be better off if they start avoiding Sam and Dean like the plague.
• Fridge Brilliance: Why did Jael not kill Alicia before leaving her body the way they did Elvis? Same reason they didn't kill Max when he got too close to the possessed Alicia. Because Jael found out by possessing Alicia that they are Asa's kids, and wanted to keep them around to inflict more suffering on them. Also applies to why Jael didn't murder Asa's mom when they were alone with her. Jael seems to be obsessed with Asa, and enraged that he got killed and thus has forever escaped them. Hounding and tormenting his family the same way they had to Asa himself would be the next-best thing for Jael, especially when taking into account that Jael had already made a point of targeting the people in Asa's life to get to him.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: Dean's shtick of Hunters not growing old and dying due to natural causes is this as Sam in the series finale lives to old age with a son and grandchildren, and dies peacefully.
