YMMV / Supergirl (2015) S5E17 "Deus Lex Machina"

• Arc Fatigue: The storyline of the breakdown of Lena and Kara's relationship and whether she is actually turning into a true villain is starting to wear thin with viewers. While the driving force pre-crisis, the plots have been relegated to b plots and do not seem to be progressing. Lena is still being portrayed as a well intentioned extremist rather than a villain and this is the first time they have interacted since Kara's ultimation in 513. Just when it looks like they might reconcile, Lex ensures their relationship becomes even worse, dragging out the plot for no other reasons than to show Lex is better than both of them and there were (when the episode was filmed) 3 more episodes to go.
• Mythology Gag: Lex orchestrating the death of Jeremiah Danvers means he's killed off yet another Superman.
• Win Back the Crowd: Once again, a Lex-centric episode revives interest in the show after few episodes of seemingly unrelated conflicts that do little to progress the plot.
