- Ass Pull:
- The explanation that the other Legionnaires had already been infected by the Blight and needed to be kept in stasis feels very much like the crew panicking as they realized they forgot to ever unfreeze the rest of them after setting up the other pods. Alex even notes how odd it is that she never asked.
- Brainiac says that the Legionnaires still don't have the Blight, meaning it can safely be assumed to be stopped despite Reign having absorbed Pestilence's powers after her death, with zero further explanation. Many fans suspect this had to be written in very quickly after the much-publicized behind the scenes issues that caused significant changes in the season's second half.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Lena's calling out Supergirl for not wanting to use Kryptonite is hindered by her inability to accept just how harmful it is to Kryptonians and just how ridiculously easy it is for people to misuse it once there's a big enough supply. However, Kara doesn't come off much better, not helped by her somewhat childish demand that she be in control of the only substance that can be used easily to take her down if she goes rogue, as well as the only substance that could defend humanity from rogue Kryptonians who may decide to slaughter humans en masse, as if Kara alone gets to decide what humanity can use to defend themselves. Ironically, the foresight that Lena had in creating the Kryptonite is the only thing that saves Ruby down the line.
