YMMV / Supergirl (2015) S2E13 "Mr. and Mrs. Mxyzptlk"

• Broken Base:
  • Mon-El's behavior in this episode. Many aren't happy with his eagerness to kill Mxy, and his saying that he was "defending Kara's honor." Some even see it as why he shouldn't be with her. However, some do sympathize, and say that he was the only one who really saw Mxy as dangerous.
  • Related to above, Kara and Mon-El. Some still want them together, while others were put off by his behavior. That they spent most of the episode arguing and insulting each other didn't help, especially when juxtaposed with Maggie and Alex's considerably more mature ways of working through their problems.
• Strangled by the Red String: Winn and Lyra immediately fall for each other after she rescues him during the bar brawl.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Maggie was presented as wrong for not wanting to celebrate Valentine's Day, thereby ruining it for Alex, who wanted to finally have one. Except, that day represents a great source of trauma for her: she was basically outed by force by her closest friend, and lost her parents as a result. She can't really be blamed for having her issues. Also, keep in mind that she only exploded after Alex went out of her way to ignore what she wanted, in the same episode where both Mon-El and Mxy were shown as wrong for doing the exact same thing with Kara.
