• Accidental Innuendo: The linked Retsupurae video has slowbeef interpreting the bony hills in the background as ribbed condoms.
• Anvilicious: Unsurprisingly. PETA isn't exactly subtle about its "fur is bad" stance.
• Memetic Mutation: Many, many remarks on how PETA objected to Mario wearing fake fur but not him stomping on turtles have been made.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The gruesome, bloody backgrounds will surely unsettle a fair number of people.
  • The music is also somewhat unsettling.
• Shallow Parody: Just like last time, it's glaringly obvious that this Mario spoof was made by people who knew little about the source material. For one, none of the games ever indicated that Mario's suits were made of real animal fur or that the Tanooki Suit was made from real tanuki (in fact, in Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World, Mario gains the Tanooki Suit from the Super Leaf).
