  • Pearl says that she can't get a drivers' license because she's not an American citizen. However, Amethyst is technically a citizen, having been created in what would eventually become the USA. She could therefore (possibly) get a license, and even run for president! Though she would eventually run into the same problem Pearl mentioned; how would she explain that she's a 5,000 year-old rock-alien?
    • If this USA works like Real Life, anyone living in the USA's territory when it was founded was eligible to become a citizen. Whether Beach City was founded before or just after the USA, the Crystal Gems had been living there - and thus, within the USA's territory - for a while. She would only need to demonstrate that she is a rock-alien (easily done) and had been living in the area now known as Beach City since the USA was born (Buddy's journal counts as historical documentation). She doesn't need to prove being 5,000 years old; that she is at least 250 is more than enough. Pearl might well be unaware of this detail, especially as the fine details have changed over time (e.g., at first only white people were eligible, but this restriction was eventually removed).
  • Likewise, the Mystery Pearl ship has a lot of fanfics focusing on what would happen if Pearl called Mystery Girl, and what their first date would be like.
