  • Much like with Peridot's limb enhancers, a lot of fans speculated that, given the limited number of minerals that could be classified as gemstones (precious or otherwise), there would have to be more than one individual for each gemstone for them to have a viable population size. This episode confirmed it with the reveal that there are "hundreds" of Pearls and implies there are a similar amount of Peridots.
  • In addition, the idea has been bandied around that Pearls are a type of servant race in Homeworld's Hive Caste System for quite some time, which this episode also confirmed. It also implies that Peridots are the technicians of this system.
