• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • There's the senior staff debriefing where an exhausted Dr. Crusher is going over the basics on what Odan was and how limited their options are. There's a reaction shot where Worf looks terribly bored and about to fall asleep. He really should have been paying attention, because his luck with Trills would actually be even worse than Beverly's.
  • The episode doesn't really go into the morality of a Puppeteer Parasite overwriting it's reverent host's personality and controlling it for as long as it can. Three years later a different science fiction franchise would portray it as a very, very bad thing.
• Values Resonance: The idea of people's love not being affected by the bodies they inhabit has become much more of a mainstream idea with the rise of trans acceptance.
