YMMV / Star Trek S2 E18 "The Immunity Syndrome"

• Accidental Innuendo: Entering the amoeba is repeatedly and consistently called "penetrating" it, which at one point is achieved by a "massive thrust.” McCoy at one point says he knows enough to go slow when penetrating it. What really takes the cake though is Spock at one point saying "The area of penetration will no doubt be sensitive."
  • Also, the talk of “probing the zone of darkness…”
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • It's hard to watch the episode without thinking of the lyric from the Novelty Song "Star Trekkin'" that goes "Boldly going forward cuz we can't find reverse!"
  • Spock feels a great disturbance in the Force — or more precisely, the sudden death of untold people from several light-years away — nearly a decade before Obi-Wan Kenobi did.
