• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Matt and Trey's vision of a world where atheists have fractured into bitterly divided factions arguing over who best represents atheism in the past half a decade has become almost prophetic.
    • Also how the episode challenges the notion some atheists have that society is better off without religion; while they may be pleased that some real-life societies are becoming increasingly secular, the results of this real-life secularization aren't likely what they expected or hoped for
  • Even only a decade after the Wii's release is it now becoming an issue to connect the Wii or older video game consoles to modern televisions, with enthusiasts salvaging old displays, investing in expensive converters/upscalers, or creating their own solutions.
  • One of the ways Future!Cartman tries to stop Past!Cartman from freezing himself is when he tells him that he knows that Past!Cartman put Clyde Frog in his closet so nothing bad would happen to him. This is a little sadder after Clyde Frog would get destroyed in 1%.
  • Richard Dawkins freaking out over finding out Mrs. Garrison was a trans woman has proven prophetic, as the man has begun expressing transphobic views a decade later.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: It is indicated Cartman has gone on several adventures in the future, with an accompanying parody introduction. Instead of exploring Cartman's future life, we see Cartman trying to change the past so he wouldn't have frozen himself solid.
