  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • Bobby's whole redemption arc, which includes warming up to his Muslim cellmate Ali, and genuinely becoming a better man for his son.
    • Jimmy's nurse is one of the sweetest characters to ever grace a Hood Film, being a wholesome, loving mother figure that Jimmy especially needs due to his actual mother being an abusive drug addict.
    • Jimmy decides not to kill the old man who shot him, and hugs his father.
  • Narm:
    • After killing Genie Lamp, the Deuces sans Bobby all look terrified and remorseful, just as they were all hellbent on enacting revenge on him and were doing it rather brutally. It probably would've made for a poignant My God, What Have I Done? moment from them if it weren't such a stark contrast.
    • Loco is clearly trying very hard (and failing even harder) to emulate a Chris Tucker or Jim Carrey-esque, overexaggerated, quirky performance, but it comes off as very irritating and hard to watch.
    • Buddha similarly has very weird, exaggerated facial expressions when he speaks, which is even more awkward considering that he's not trying to be funny like Loco.
  • Retroactive Recognition: With some Actor Allusion thrown in; we get to see Pernell's experiences in jail here.
  • Tear Jerker: Bobby getting news that his son's been shot.
