  • Fair for Its Day: "Confession Express" (1994) to an extent. Trans woman Leslie Linwood is killed off early on by the villains, revealed to be "actually a man" during the autopsy and gendered with male pronouns afterward. On the other hand, Leslie is portrated sympathetically for trying to rescue her estranged father and many innocents from a terror attack and also provides crucial information to Soda in her dying breath. It's also notable that there's no jokes at her expense.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: The comic was created in 1985, and its 80s roots can easily be seen at several points, such as characters casually smoking indoors. The most glaring example, though, is the fact that the Twin Towers are still part of New York's skyline.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not Symbolic?: At the moment a policeman died, a policeman-shaped balloon in a parade broke its tethers and flew away.
