  • Archive Panic:
    • For anyone who wants to see every video that Shrapnel characters appear in because they want to see more of their favorite characters, the miniseries are merely the tip of the iceberg, as some of them are the hosts for Moonshine Reviews, and additionally many of them are often involved in various skits and parodies on Moonshine’s channel, and that’s not getting into what fans who want to see more of Cecilia’s antics have to look through, as she has a near-identical counterpart made by Moon who shows up In a completely different series he made (see Continuity Lockout below and her entry on the Shrapnel character page for specifics), and that’s not even taking into account that the main series proper hasn’t even started yet.
    • Just trying to find all the videos can be equally daunting, as some videos have been stuck down due to copyright claims, and are now only found through re-uploads and such, making them a nightmare to keep track of.
  • Catharsis Factor: For anyone who hates the Ugandan Knuckles meme (especially those who were around when it was at the peak of its popularity and seemed to be everywhere), seeing Reznya (along with almost every other character) treat them with the same disdain feels very fitting.
  • Continuity Lockout: A minor example regarding a past project of Moonshine Animations, with some episodes of Moonshine Reviews hosted by Cecilia that reference Off the Grid, a stop-motion webseries that Moonshine made for Stikbot Central. If viewers aren’t familiar with Cecilia’s counterpart in Off the Grid, then some of her comments and interactions with the stikbots lack a bit of context.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: Reznya using someone she is helping as a meat shield when a grenade goes off near her, and killing their friends just for insulting her would be completely terrible . . . if they weren’t a whole group of the controversial, "dead meme" that is Ugandan knuckles.
Commandah: My queen! Thank you my queen, you saved my life!
Reznya: Oh no, you’re one of those things. Uhhhhhh, ummm . . .
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: The little girl Reznya saves at the end of KILL CONTRACT: Minions has zero dialogue and maybe around a minute of screen time tops, but fans found Reznya’s interaction with her to be so adorable and heartwarming that people started asking if Reznya would adopt her, leading to the creation of Potato, who uses the same model.
  • Growing the Beard: While the first KILL CONTRACT episode is generally considered good and left many viewers wanting more, the second episode is where most will agree that the series really starts to hit its stride with its storytelling, world-building, and characters.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: In 2018, the second KILL CONTRACT episode, Once Upon a Time in Uganda came out, which introduced the Ugandan Knuckles, a race of deformed echidna people based directly off of a meme character of the same name, whose Catchphrase is a reference to the Ugandan action movie, Who Killed Captain Alex?, by Ramon Film Productions, AKA Wakaliwood. A few years later, Wakaliwood officially announced a Wakaliwood documentary film, titled . . . Once Upon a time in Uganda!note
  • Ugly Cute: Like the meme they are based on, the Ugandan Knuckles are these weirdly deformed bug-eyed echidnas, but their big eyes make them kind of cute in a weird way.
  • Unpopular Popular Character: Given the Ugandan Knuckles originate from a controversial internet meme, the characters themselves are this both in and out of the series, as while it’s easier to make a list of characters who don’t like them, they get a much warmer reception among Shrapnel fans, due to their Ugly Cute designs, odd mannerisms, and the fact that when the chips are down, they can be surprisingly capable (sometimes), and some fans who consider the original a "shitty internet meme", admit to liking their depiction/members in Shrapnel. Of course, for anyone who still doesn’t like the meme that much, there’s something of a Catharsis Factor in seeing them get injured.
