Spoilers are unmarked. You have been warned.

  • Awesome Moments:
    • The First Stream:
      • The boys killing an enderman with nothing but their fists — no weapons, no tools, no armour, no anything.
      • Justin burning to half a heart in the Nether and surviving.
    • The Curse Stream:
      • The entire plan to Curse Kindness with Vanishing, which can only be described as Refuge in Audacity and Crazy Awesome, going perfectly well. Though the Refuge in Audacity part is deconstructed due to the fallout that occurred afterward, the two who conspired to Curse the sword got off relatively lucky, and Dan still got a hefty profit of 10 diamonds, a stack of iron, and a stack of gold out of it. Even Justin initially had a hard time believing something like that happened when Dan recounted the incident to him.
    • The Hunt for Netherite Stream:
      • Squid un-banning James from Kraken's Hollow because his Gallery of Squid prank was Actually Pretty Funny.
      • After the stream, James finding a jungle thousands of blocks away from spawn in the middle of the night, eventually even reaching the edge of the world.
  • Fanon:
    • Dan is sometimes drawn with blue hair in fanart instead of brown like in both real life and his Minecraft skin. This is because for a period of time, he dyed his hair various colours (especially shades of blue) in real life and correspondingly dyed the hair of his Minecraft avatar light blue as well.
    • Deaths inflicted using netherite gear leave scars.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • General
      • The people on the server being welcoming towards each new member, giving them a tour of the central hub and sometimes giving them gear to help them get started.
    • The Gamble stream:
      • Justin finding Dan's horse and returning him to his rightful owner, on a server where people are willing to lie, cheat and backstab others for their own gain.
    • Squid's birthday stream:
      • Everyone gathering together to celebrate Squid's birthday, with gifts and music.
    • Advertisement:
    • The Curse Stream:
      • Including events prior to this stream, Dan and James' solid friendship, allying to get Revenge on Squid for double-crossing both of them, and Dan refusing to betray James over Squid's restricted quest, even breaking the quest rules (one of which is to not tell anyone about the quest) to work on their revenge plans.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • ScamTDM.Explanation
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The Post-Curse Stream: Squid being possessed by Kindness. One moment your friend was hiding around the corner, trying to eavesdrop on your conversation with some friends about berries, the next moment, he's speaking in a voice that isn't his, hunting you down, and killing you. Worse yet, from Squid's perspective, there was a moment where he broke free of Kindness' control and cried for help, but no one was able to do anything.
    • Worse yet, watching from Squid's perspective: after he ended his POV of the Curse stream, he went into a trance and was implied to be possessed by Kindness. However, when he logs on for the Post-Curse stream, he finds Kindness in a chest surrounded by torches like a cult summoning circle, instead of in his ender chest as he last put it…
  • Older Than They Think:
    • The plan to build the Up house on top of a shattered savanna — Stacy Plays in the Cube SMP series, 2014; or Thinknoodles on the Shady Oaks SMP, 2021?
    • An In-Universe example: Ecko reveals in his debut stream that despite being primarily known for being an Xbox player, he had actually been playing Minecraft since the week it came out on PC.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • After the Hunt for Netherite stream, James travels thousands of blocks to find a jungle, tames two parrots there, only to walk right into the world border and get teleported back to Shady Oaks... with only one parrot. In other words, he lost one of his parrots to Justin's world border. And also his horse and the saddle on it. He ends his episode off with this as a Bittersweet Ending — him managing to return to Shady Oaks in one piece, but not being able to explore the jungle further.
