YMMV / Seeking Truth

Go To

  • Archive Binge: When Zeke asks his readers to provide links to all the Slender blogs they can find, boy, do they come up with a lot. Goes to show that Seeking Truth is a very good place for newbie Slender fans to start off from.
  • Complete Monster: Albert "Al" Conaghan, the Arch-Enemy of Detective Zeke Strahm, is a corrupt businessman who uses his wealth to fund his crimes. Already a prolific Serial Rapist before his first encounter with the Slender Man, Conaghan raped several teenagers and even kept some as his sex slaves, earning Zeke's hatred by raping and murdering his high-school crush. Rather than being forced into servitude, Conaghan willingly became a devotee of the Slender Man and butchered people in his name, including four children and Zeke's partner.
  • Funny Moments: Zeke attacking M, author of The Tutorial, in retaliation for him implying that Seeking Truth was just a story, was utterly hilarious. Considering that M, a homeless drifter, had just made a post making the point that he was drinking coffee in a cafe, Zeke says: "Enjoy that fucking coffee. I prefer home blend myself."
    • M responds in the comments with this: "That was good fucking coffee."
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Maybe not intentional, but still - Zeke's interrogation of Conaghan seems a little too much like the infamous Joker interrogation, right down to shouting "WHERE ARE THEY?" while knocking him around.
  • Moment of Awesome: As mentioned above, Zeke beating up Lizzie's abusive father counts.
    • Evening The Score definitely qualifies.
      • But even before that, his response to Slendy looking at him through his window definately qualifies, especially when you think about how other people have reacted to the same situation.
  • One-Scene Wonder: Zeke's recent encounter with Kiera from Dreams in Darkness. She not only berates one of the biggest badasses in the Slenderverse onscreen for being an idiot, but it is pretty clearly implied that she singlehandedly saved Zeke from Slender Man himself.
  • Tear Jerker: The final lines of Zeke's last blog entry (not counting the one made by the police).
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not Symbolic?: Lampshaded. Conaghan keeps calling Slendy "The Angel of Death"; Zeke points out that people will attach symbolism to anything.
