• Sequelitis: This series failed to live up to its predecessor, in part because of sheer amounts of narm, but also due to it being a massive crossover event in a time when such events were basically an Unbuilt Trope - this was Marvel's first attempt at a line-wide crossover, with the story flowing in and out of issues, and it shows. In particular, the Beyonder's characterisation is whatever the writer of a given tie-in wants it to be for their plot.
  Chuck Sonnenburg: Secret Wars II is Jim Shooter's Icarus. It's the time that he flew too close to the sun and crashed horribly.
