YMMV / Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold

Go To

  • Alternative Joke Interpretation: When Aquaman asks if Batman lost another Robin, the joke changes depending on which one he's talking about: either Dick Grayson (who became Nightwing) or Jason Todd (depending if his death is played out like in the comics)
  • Best Known for the Fanservice: Black Canary's playful flirtiness and Daphne donning the Batgirl costume are much discussed highlights online.
  • Character Rerailment: Harley Quinn in her one-episode appearance in Brave and the Bold was basically Harley In Name Only. Resembling more of a 1920's flapper. Her brief appearance in the film paired up with Ivy and using her signature mallet is much Truer to the Text. It helps she's voiced by Harley's usual voice actress Tara Strong this time.
  • Crosses the Line Twice:
Aquaman: What’s wrong, Batman? Did you lose another Robin again?
  • Just Here for Godzilla:
    • More than one fan tuned in simply because Jeffrey Combs was reprising his role as The Question. Not to mention the mere fun of Combs (a horror veteran) getting another Scooby-Doo role in the process.
    • Even people who don't regularly watch the Scooby Doo movies will likely have decided to give the movie a go just to see the world of Batman: The Brave and the Bold again, particularly the show's incarnation of Batman and his colorful cast of supporting heroes and villains considering it's been many years since the series officially ended.
  • Unexpected Character: In part because he didn't appear in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but even with his increased presence in Gotham, many probably weren't expecting Harvey Bullock to appear here.
    • Considering Dr. Milo only had a small, one-shot role in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which ended in his implied death, it's likely not many people expected him to be in the movie either, especially playing a small but pivotal role in being involved with the one mystery case Batman hadn't solved in all these years.
  • The Un-Twist: Played with. Clayface gets a brief name-check early on, and the Crimson Cloak soon demonstrates several abilities Batman fans will almost immediately connect with him. The truth? He was acting as the Cloak, but only on the orders of the actual Big Bad Riddler.
