- Alternate Aesop Interpretation: The episode was supposed to teach Sabrina (and the viewers) about appreciating what they have and that adults have a lot of responsibilities. Unfortunately, it turns out instead coming off as Growing Up Sucks. Within the same episode, since Sabrina has three kids and initially doesn't work, it gives an accidental lesson about how expensive children are and not living beyond one's means.
- Bile Fascination: This episode has a reputation of being considered as one of the worst episodes of the series, if not the worst. Helped by The Mysterious Mr. Enter acknowledging it's existence.
- Broken Aesop: The intended moral is among the lines of "don't be in a hurry to grow up if you prefer having fun as a kid". It breaks because it comes off more as "adults are not allowed to have fun" and "everything in adulthood is expensive". Not helping is the adulthood Sabrina enters is a magical simulation that gives her the worst case scenario possible, with a 24-hour time limit before being eternally stuck there.
- Padding: Near the beginning, Sabrina ends up talking to three different music store clerks to find a Funkhouse Ferrets CD.
- Values Dissonance: Sabrina's adult self gets laughed at for trying to play an arcade game. In the late 90s and early 2000s, playing video games was still considered something only children did (or else nerdy Basement Dwellers, and therefore not women). Adults playing video games is considered far more socially acceptable nowadays.
