- Awesome Music: The lovely melody that plays as Sabrina first arrives on the island, and gets a Triumphant Reprise at the end. Also a bit of an ear worm.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Tara Strong voices someone with a crush on a merman, a few years before she'd get to play the daughter of the most famous mermaid in pop culture. Additionally she helps said merman turn briefly into a human, while her character in the latter does the opposite; a human transforming into a mermaid.
- Special Effects Failure:
- The CGI fish Sabrina turns herself into. Granted it probably wasn't supposed to look realistic but it still sticks out, especially when it has to interact with Spout.
- It's also glaringly bad CGI when the lightning strikes Sabrina and makes her fly out of the water.
- Squick: Fin bites the head off a living fish to eat. It's still wriggling when she continues to eat on it.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: The mermaid tails however look very realistic, with some interesting designs to them.
