• Angst? What Angst?: Ryan doesn't seem to be emotionally affected by any of the unfortunate events that happen to him. In fact, the movie ends with Ryan smiling at the woman who gets him arrested because he shares some things in common with her.
• Narm: Nearly all the lines from Connie's drunken father are hard to take seriously due to the very poor ADR.
• Padding: At one point in the movie, Ryan gets a one-time gig as a male stripper. Before he gets to perform, the movie shows off the entire routines of two strippers that we don't know beforehand.
• So Bad, It's Good: Has reached cult status among bad movie watchers for how ludicrous the plot and characters are and the delightfully poor ADR.
• Strangled by the Red String: Ryan decides out of nowhere that he loves Connie despite being quite dismissive of her for years and her sabotaging of his relationship with his previous girlfriend.
• Wangst: Connie spends most of the movie just moping about Ryan's rejection of her and never takes the time to think about her actions that led to him running away until the end of the movie.
