• The Meet The Strangers trailer where we see all 10 of the strangers. The only one who looks halfway friendly is the Connoisseur. The Detective may be a cop, but he gives a very mean look, The Grandmother is a creepy old lady, Carol and Lydia are very mean looking, Charles has his arm held out in a welcoming gesture while he is giving a creepy look, The Pharmacist is also creepy looking, and The Mommas Boy has his right cheek constantly twitching. The most frightening of them all is The Joke Teller, a man who is wearing a Monster Clown outfit complete with makeup (including blood-like red makeup around his lips and eyes) while giving a Slasher Smile.
• The demo’s opening is fairly chilling in and of itself. Elora finds herself completely alone in near-complete darkness as her car breaks down, the only sign of civilization being the long stretch of road. She takes a few deep breaths, tells herself “I can do this…” and holds out her thumb. It makes it very clear that she is fully aware of the potential danger she’s putting herself into… but at the same time, everything is reinforcing that she has no other choice.
