• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Most of the modding community that focuses on adding new character and weapon models are Chinese.
• No Casualties Run: In both the Haunted and Spec Ops game modes you have yourself and 3-6 teammates. Keeping them all alive can provide an extra challenge to the already challenging task of taking on numerically superior foes, but also helps as you'll need as many guns on your side as possible to stand a chance.
• Scrappy Mechanic: Knockdown. Oftentimes getting knocked over is a death sentence and there's nothing you can do after getting hit except wait for your character to slowly stand back up and pray an enemy doesn't finish you off. While AI characters aren't immune to this (which makes it even worse when one of the enemies get up and shoot you the moment you look away), there's a downloadable mutator to shut it off if that says anything about how the fanbase feels about this mechanic.
• Surprise Difficulty: For a game all about fighting massed waves of enemy bots, the AI puts up a hell of a fight even on normal. While some maps are asymmetrical in Raven's favor or give them an extra base to start, a lot of it just comes down to them playing effectively.
