- Crosses the Line Twice: In the second season, the group is confronted by a teenager named Kylen and are almost forced to fight him. Hadley clarifies that he's 18 after a question from Nick, leading to this gem:Nick Murphy: Good thing I asked if this kid is 18, guys. Now we're killing an adult!
- Ensemble Dark Horse: A minor example, but Jam Jammerson immediately endeared himself to the party (and audience) and since then he's made a few more appearances. His popularity and nickname actually led to Hadley forgetting what his real name is. It's Torvin
- Game-Breaker: A really weird example. The Dodge mechanic is lamented as being broken... In-Universe. During the party's Crazy Gas escapades, the apparition of Jasper Cheesehound states that it wasn't balanced very well. And that's not even getting into the fact that the Space Kings game system hasn't even been published yet!
- Genius Bonus: One episode of the first season is titled "Cephalophore", the signficance of which and the irony of it being used to describe Lord Saberheart might be lost to viewers who aren't familiar with Christian saints.
- Harsher in Hindsight: The party constantly joking about the likelihood of Snorkul's death becomes much darker when the Final Battle rolls around Snorkul is indeed the only one in the main party who nearly dies.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Davl constantly tells Shmitty to be thankful that the party gave him robot arms. Cut to Davl losing one of his own arms late in the story and requiring a robotic replacement.
- Squick: Nick's proposal that one of Tackby's bars be frequented by literal Parrotheads, complete with a birdcage-esque floor and the patrons "shitting everywhere." The rest of the cast is suitably revolted.
