  • Complacent Gaming Syndrome: The Adaptable Nozzle combines the offerings of all standard nozzles in one package and gives them a decent power boost on top. Once you have it, there's very little reason to use anything else for the vast majority of the game.
  • Rescued from the Scrappy Heap:
    • In the first game, no one ever used the soap nozzle. It had very short range, the soap bottles didn't last long, they were only effective against one type of dirt each, and worst of all, they cost quite a bit of money. The reworked soap nozzle, while still being rather short-ranged, does away with all the other shortcomings by having infinite ammo and being extremely effective against everything, making it a highly useful piece of equipment.
    • Likewise, the white 40° nozzle was commonly overlooked in the first game due to its low power, especially in the face of such Game Breakers as the yellow or tri-nozzle. When combined with the reworked soap nozzle in 2, it becomes one of the best spray heads available, due to the former eliminating its key weakness of low pressure, while the player still get to benefit from its wide coverage.
    • Similarly, most of the linear nozzles were largely ignored in favor of the yellow 15° nozzle due to its versatility. In the sequel, rebalancing has made all nozzles useful (although, as mentioned earlier, the Adaptable Nozzle still makes them obsolete the moment it unlocks).
