• Designated Hero: The Dragon, who we're supposed to side with despite the fact he provokes the whole conflict for his own amusement.
• Designated Villain: King Hugo, who we're supposed to see as the bad guy mostly because he's arrogant, a bit of a jerk, and he wants to get rid of the Dragon because the Dragon keeps scorching him.
