  • Awesome Music: Once again, the original music made for this game is good to listen to.
  • Epileptic Trees:
    • There are lots of theories on what will happen later in the game due to the MSPA Reader accidentally preventing John from playing Sburb, and the events that will result from that. The presence of a message that appears to be from Ultimate Dirk, suggesting that the story is in some way a follow up to The Homestuck Epilogues, has only added fuel to the fire. The unexpected publication of Homestuck: Beyond Canon has added even more fuel to the fire, with fans speculating wildly about how- if at all-the two works will interact.
    • The appearances of two alternate timeline versions of MSPA Reader in Feferi's and Jane's routes adds even more fuel to the fires of speculation.
  • Even Better Sequel: The game's graphics are more improved than those of Hiveswap Friendsim, and fans like it both as a continuation of Friendsim and as a chance to see more content of the characters from Homestuck.
  • Esoteric Happy Ending: Some people feel that Dave in the "Locked Timeline" in the game's true ending doesn't have it as good as the other characters because his Bro is still around. There is also the fact that one of the characters inside the Locked Timeline is Gamzee, and Calliope and Caliborn are left unaccounted for.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: Some people are only interested in playing the game for the chance to see their favourite Homestuck characters, especially the Trolls who didn't get much focus on them before being killed off. Additionally, some other people are playing the game just because it's a continuation of Friendsim and the MSPA Reader's adventures.
  • Moment of Awesome: MSPA Reader using their retcon powers to slam dunk Spidermom into a volcano.
  • Unexpected Character:
    • Not many people were expecting Sollux and Aradia, let alone any of the other Trolls, to appear in Volume 4.
    • The appearance of John and Dave in Volume 5 also came as a surprise to many.
    • In Volume 6, we have Karako, Boldir, and Doc Scratch.
    • Aradia's route in Volume 8 involves the God Tier version of her rather than her pre-Sgrub self.
    • Nepeta's route in Volume 9 sees Dave and Jade getting involved when the Reader zaps Nepeta to Jade's tower.
    • Jane's route in Volume 11 has the Reader being brainwashed by the Condesce in the fake-out good ending route.
    • Jake's route in Volume 12 has brobot, as well as Vriska, though the latter wouldn't be unexpected by now given how often characters meet each other in the game. And in a case of unexpected location, no one expected the house from Hiveswap to feature, briefly as though it did.
    • The appearance of post-Scratch Rose in Volume 13 was surprising.
    • While some surprising character was expected for Volume 14, no one really expected Aysha— er, The Director herself to show up. Dave from the Candy timeline was another surprising appearance.
