YMMV / Pamtri

  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:
    • Many of Santiago's appearances come across this way. He'll often show up completely out of nowhere to kill all the characters onscreen and then say his name with a dramatic zoom in and echo effect.
    • In Dying for Pie, Spongebob appears as a still image with demonic black eyes with red pupils, as well as a Synchro-Vox mouth with a glow behind him for unknown reasons. It's not referenced in-universe, and Spongebob's appearance goes back to normal in the next video he appears with no reference to the change from the previous video.

  • Bizarro Episode: Even by Pamtri's standards, "Dying For Pie" is weird.
  • Discredited Meme: "SANTIAGO" seems to be headed down this path, as many fans are beginning to get sick of newbies spamming it everywhere they go. Pamtri seems to think so as well, since the character appears less frequently in their newer videosnote , not helped by the fact that they posted this image in their Discord server.
  • Fandom Rivalry: A one-sided one. Fans of Cyber 8, another channel centered around surreal animation and text to speech dialogue (although significantly Darker and Edgier also Bloodier and Gorier and with more definite Black Comedy, if any comedy exists), haven't taken Pamtri's videos or their fans very well. Cyber 8's channel was closed due to violating community guidelines and then made anew in March 2017, losing all his views and subscribers in the process, and hasn't made any new videos since. Consequently, when his videos were back up, several people started commenting memes from Pamtri's videos, noticing the similarities between both channels. His fans often label Pamtri as a "try-hard," but most of Pamtri's fans don't react negatively to Cyber 8's videos or his fans.
    • Most Half-Life 2 fans are annoyed when Father Grigori is being commented as Santiago because of same model, different character (Grigori helps the player in Ravenholm while Santiago seems to be only exist to kill), even more so after Author Existence Failure.
  • Friendly Fandoms: With surreal entertainment (written in lowercaps), another channel centered around surreal animation and text to speech dialogue, although less scarier, more Denser and Wackier, and Lighter and Softer, also kid friendlier.
    • It was given Shout-Out in "Samsung Galaxy Fold" where Google Maps was shown.
  • Memetic Badass: Of course, SANTIAGO.
  • Memetic Mutation: A lot of recurring lines get this treatment.
  • Tear Jerker: Weirdly enough, the ending to "New Student Starfish". Gary is left staring forlornly at his bowl, waiting for Spongebob to come home, not knowing that his owner has been gunned down by Santiago at boating school.
