- Catharsis Factor: The opening scene, in which Lucas and Nathan finally attack Dan after a lifetime of neglect and abuse, and Keith’s murder. Especially if one was worried that Dan’s role in bringing Jamie home after his abduction would lead to him being accepted back into the family.
- Harsher in Hindsight: The scenes with Peyton and Max can be harder to watch in light of Hilarie Burton's accusations of sexual harassment and assault against Mark Schwahn, and Burton’s assessment that Schwahn (Showrunner and writer of this episodes) only wrote those scenes to force Burton into close proximity of him as she was refusing to talk to him by the point of producing this episode.
