• Unexpected Character: Captain Ahab. Although Blackbeard's prior appearances could have made this a possible good guess for a future character to show up, Ahab's identity as a whaling captain and not a pirate (as well as being another literary character rather than a Real Life figure) would have made him far less likely. In fact his peg leg, and the trailers making certain not to reveal his name ahead of time, would have made Long John Silver more expected, although a version of Silver already appeared in "The Brothers Jones".
