  • Character Tiers:
    • God Tier: Henderson, the Purposefully Overpowered Joke Character
    • Top Tier: Mike, the super fast knife expert with powerful shotguns good for short-range crowd control; Kimmy, the samurai girl with a full-auto SMG and a powerful charge attack; and Bunnylord himself in the DLC with surprisingly high speed and a strong rifle with large magazine capacity.
    • High Tier: Steve, the basic handgun enthusiast with no significant weaknesses; Clive, the dexterous Guns Akimbo character who is great for crowd control and can kick open doors to knock down enemies; and Ronald Justice, who's essentially a weaker Kimmy with fewer charge attacks and a semi-auto pistol.
    • Mid Tier: Samantha, capable of shooting and reloading while moving even though her bad accuracy while doing so makes her rather unreliable; and Jesus, whose moving executions are nice but also suffers from bad accuracy. His shoot-while-sliding feature is rather wonky to use as well.
    • Low Tier: Stanley and Cletus. Both are the slowest characters in the game with painfully slow reload times. Stanley's decent for unloading a lot of firepower at once, but you usually want to time your shots properly. Cletus's shotgun is okay, but his slow reload makes you vulnerable to advancing enemies.
  • Complacent Gaming Syndrome: Mike's fast melee, powerful shotguns, and high speed make him the best character by far in the late-game for both speedrunning and efficiency.
  • Game-Breaker: Mike and Speedload Power-Up. The primary handicap for Mike is that he only has two shots and a relatively slow reload time. Speedload allows you to reload almost instantly, giving an ultra-fast character with the best melee in the game a powerful and reliable ranged weapon to boot.
    • Henderson in the hidden missions is overwhelmingly powerful by design.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: A quick peek at the Steam community content page shows quite a few screenshots from Japanese gamers. It seems the retro pixel graphics, excellent soundtrack, and several Yakuza-themed levels have done some work.
  • That One Achievement: Getting the 16-kill streak bonus objective without getting hit in the last stage of the main game, Best Served Cold, is pretty frustrating, considering the sheer number of enemies.
    • The final stage of the DLC requires the player to navigate the entire map, get a kill streak, and finish in a time limit all while the final boss is chasing you around.
