YMMV / Ninja Assault

Go To

  • Demonic Spiders: Shogun Kigai's elite ninja can count sometimes, given how they tend to leap around so quickly that it's hard to get a bead on them.
  • Narm: As is common with games of this genre, the voice acting is hillariously awkward, perhaps even more so than most thanks to the hilariously stunted voice acting getting combined with thick accents.
  • Narm Charm: Ninjas using semi-automatic handgun to fight evil? The premise is ridiculous enough, as noted by Youtube comments, but that what makes the already fun game stands out from the others. Plus thanks to the developers experience in the genre, the game is as exciting as its contemporaries.
  • Questionable Casting: While the usage of entirely English voices in a Namco game doesn't feel awkward at best (a la Time Crisis), this seems out of place when putting into an entirely Japanese setting even in the original Japanese versions, unless you had experiences in dubs of Japanese-themed animes and games. Mazan: Flash of the Blade fixed this by giving Japanese voices in the Japanese versions, while keeping the English dub for the English translations.
