- Fridge Horror: There's a theory that the Jonas Brothers song "Black Keys" is about self-harm (and suicidal ideation) and that "A Little Bit Longer" is also about depression, and Nick wrote both on his own.
- He Really Can Act: When he was cast in a recurring role for season 4 of Hawaii Five-0, people just saw him as an attempt to boost ratings, given the series moved to Friday nights. When the episode aired, he won fans over for his portrayal of a sociopathic villain.
- Tear Jerker: "Stay". Hell, even Nick's teared up during that song. "Vesper's Goodbye", too.
